This Privacy Policy describes how Crafty ("we", "us", "the App") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

When you use Crafty, you may provide the following information:

• Project data: Project names, descriptions, tags, notes, links, tools, images, categories, and status.
• Material data: Material names, quantities, units, prices, colors, notes, images, storage locations, and related metadata.
• Pins/Inspiration data: Titles, descriptions, tags, URLs, images, and notes.
• Account information: If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account name and email address for authentication purposes.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Analytics data: We use Firebase Analytics to collect usage data such as app opens, feature usage, and general interaction patterns. This data is collected in aggregate and does not personally identify you.
• Crash reports: We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash logs and diagnostic information to help us improve app stability. These reports may include device model, OS version, and stack traces.

1.3 Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your location, contacts, call logs, SMS messages, or any data from other apps on your device.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the App's core functionality (storing and syncing your projects, materials, and pins).
• Sync your data across devices using Firebase cloud services.
• Authenticate your identity when you sign in with Google.
• Process in-app purchases and manage your premium subscription status.
• Analyze usage patterns to improve the App's features and performance.
• Identify and fix bugs and crashes.

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Local Storage

Your data is stored locally on your device using an encrypted local database.

3.2 Cloud Storage

Your data is synced to Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Storage) servers. Data is stored under your unique user account and is not accessible to other users. Firebase security rules ensure that only you can read and write your own data.

3.3 Images

Images you add to projects, materials, or pins are stored locally on your device and synced to Firebase Storage under your user account. These images are private and accessible only to you.

3.4 Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your data, including:

• Firebase security rules restricting data access to authenticated users and their own data only.
• Encrypted data transmission via HTTPS.
• Secure authentication through Google Identity Services.

3.5 Risk of Data Loss

While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, we cannot guarantee that your data will never be lost, corrupted, or rendered inaccessible. Data loss may occur due to device failure, uninstallation of the App, loss of access to your Google account, service outages, sync conflicts, software bugs, or events outside our control. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of any data that is important to you. We are not liable for any loss of User Content.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Analytics, Crashlytics) - Firebase Privacy Policy

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your data may be shared only in the following circumstances:

• With Google Firebase services as described above, solely for the purpose of providing App functionality.
• If required by law, regulation, or legal process.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as you maintain an active account. You can delete individual projects, materials, and pins at any time within the App.

6.1 In-App Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly from within the App at any time: open Settings → Account → Delete Account and confirm. This immediately removes your projects, materials, pins, profile, and uploaded images from our servers (Firebase Firestore and Firebase Storage).

6.2 Web-Based Account Deletion

If you no longer have access to the App (for example, you uninstalled it or lost your device) and want your account deleted, email us at shumilova.svitlana.ca@gmail.com from the Google account you used to sign in, with the subject line "Delete my Crafty account". We will verify your identity and permanently delete your account and all associated data within 30 days. We retain only the minimum information required to comply with legal obligations (e.g., a record of the deletion request).

6.3 Categories of Data Deleted

• Account identifiers (Firebase UID, Google account name and email).
• All user-generated content: projects, materials, pins, notes, tags, links, and images.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete such information.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Withdraw consent for data processing.
• Export your data in a portable format.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy within the App and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
